Empowering Young Social Entrepreneurs for Lasting Impact
Welcome to Changelooms, a transformative fellowship program designed to empower young social entrepreneurs who are driving change in the realms of Social Inclusion, Constitutional Literacy, Education, Community Development, or Environment. Through a comprehensive year-long journey, Changelooms offers a unique blend of mentoring, learning opportunities, resource linkages, and seed funding to amplify the impact of your social change initiative.
Program Highlights:
- Intensive Mentoring: Receive personalized mentoring to fortify your skills and leadership capabilities as a young social entrepreneur.
- ‘Refl-action’ Learning Opportunities: Engage in reflective practices to deepen self-awareness and explore diversities, fostering personal and organizational growth.
- National Visibility: Amplify your initiative’s social change message and actions nationwide, gaining exposure and support.
- Capacity Building Trainings: Acquire valuable insights on integrating a youth-centric approach, instructional design, facilitation techniques, and effective tools for program planning and review.
- Resource Linkages: Establish connections with national and international organizations and collectives, expanding your network and access to resources.
- Organization Development Inputs: Receive consistent guidance on organizational development to enhance your initiative’s impact.
- Seed Funding: Access seed funding ranging from 1.5 to 2 lakhs to fuel the growth and sustainability of your social change initiative.
- Youth Workers’ Collective: Become part of a national-level youth workers’ collective, creating extensive visibility and collaboration opportunities.
Basic Eligibility:
- Age: Young social entrepreneurs between 18-35 years.
- Team Composition: Two Changeloomers per initiative, preferably co-founders or one founder member and one in a key or senior role.
- Focus Areas: Social inclusion, Constitutional literacy, Education, Community development, or Environment.
- Operational Duration: Initiatives must be in existence for at least 6 months (as of January 1, 2020) with long-term plans for social change.
- Target Groups: Initiatives must target youth and adolescents.
Selection Process:
- Application Screening
- Telephonic Interviews
- Face-to-face Interviews (Skype/Hangout)
- Field Visit
- Reference Checking
- Project Proposal and Budget Screening
- Final Panel (Shortlisting)
- Fellowship Offer Letter
