The IDRC and other funding partners are organizations dedicated to supporting research initiatives that address global development challenges. They provide funding and resources to support projects aimed at improving conditions in developing regions.

🚀 About Scholarship:

The scholarship aims to establish up to five regional hubs in the Global South to manage research sub-grants focusing on climate change and health. These hubs will be responsible for identifying and supporting research projects in their respective regions.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Open to individual organizations or consortia headquartered in eligible countries within West and Central Africa, East and Southern Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Middle East and North Africa.
  • Not open to individuals or government ministries, agencies, or branches of international organizations.
  • Eligible entities include public research institutes, think tanks, and universities.
  • Applicants must have independent legal status and capacity for contracting, receiving, and administering funds.

📝 Application Process:

  • Interested applicants must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) as the first stage of the application process.
  • The EOI stage requires completion of an eligibility checklist and submission of supporting documents.
  • Successful EOIs will be invited to submit a full technical proposal.
  • Specific application requirements are outlined in the call document.
  • Deadline for EOI submission: April 5, 2024 – 17:00 ET.
