HKU AAS Scholar Program

The HKU AAS Scholar Program aims to support high-achieving undergraduate students who demonstrate strong academic performance and a commitment to community service. This merit-based scholarship is open to local full-time Year 1 undergraduates who have shown exceptional promise both academically and in their community engagements. The program offers financial support of HK$50,000 annually, which is renewable based on maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.2 and continued participation in community service.

- Must be a local full-time Year 1 undergraduate student at HKU.
- Should have resided in Hong Kong for at least three consecutive years before starting the program.
- Must have completed senior secondary education in Hong Kong (including local and non-local curricula like HKDSE and IB).
- Demonstrates a strong academic track record with a minimum GPA of 3.2 in the first semester.
- Shows active participation in community service or charitable work before applying.

1. Application Timeline: Opens in October/November each year.
2. Submission: Complete the online application form via the HKU portal. Include all required documents, such as proof of academic achievements and community service records.
3. Evaluation: Applications are assessed based on academic merit and community service involvement. Priority is given to students from financially challenged backgrounds.
4. Results Announcement: The selected candidates are usually notified by May.
