About UnLtd India
UNLtd India is a non-profit organization that supports and funds social entrepreneurs who are working towards creating innovative and sustainable solutions to pressing social and environmental issues in India. UNLtd India provides early-stage funding, mentoring, networking, and other resources to help these entrepreneurs build successful and impactful organizations.
UNLtd India’s program is designed to support social entrepreneurs at various stages of their journey, from ideation to scaling. The program provides funding of up to INR 25 lakhs, as well as access to mentoring, training, and networking opportunities. Additionally, UNLtd India works with its partners to connect social entrepreneurs with experts in different sectors and provide them with opportunities to showcase their work to potential investors and donors.
The program has a duration of 12 to 24 months, during which time the selected social entrepreneurs work on developing their ideas, building their organizations, and creating a measurable impact. The program has a rolling application process, with no specific deadline, allowing social entrepreneurs to apply at any time.
The program is open to Indian citizens or those who have been residing in India for at least three years, who are over the age of 18 and have a social enterprise that is addressing a social or environmental issue. The enterprise must be in its early stages, with less than five years of operations and an annual turnover of less than INR 1 crore.
UNLtd India’s program has been successful in supporting over 600 social entrepreneurs in India since its inception, creating a positive impact in various sectors such as education, health, environment, and livelihoods. The program has helped these social entrepreneurs build scalable and sustainable solutions to the challenges they are addressing, thus creating a significant impact on society and the environment.
They are interested in:
- Individual: We seek individuals who exhibit strong entrepreneurial characteristics, demonstrate a firm commitment to creating social change, and have the ability to gather resources to support their work.
- Innovative Idea: We look for innovative ideas that focus on solutions to address specific social problems, unmet needs, or underserved sections of society.
- Impact: We seek ideas that have the potential to create long-term and sustained impact within their communities, at a city/state level, and at scale.
- Incubation: We look for individuals who are receptive to feedback and can benefit from our non-financial support.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be an Indian national or have a registered Indian organization.
- Applicants must be working on a social or environmental issue and have a business model that generates revenue.
- NGO must be legally registered as any one of the following: Section 8 Company, Trust, Society.
- NGO must have valid 12A & 80G certifications as on the date of application.
- NGO must be registered on or after 1st April 2017.
- Applicants must have a team of at least two co-founders.
- Working full-time or if part-time, upwards of 3 days a week.
- Applicants must be available to attend the entire six-month program, including virtual and in-person training sessions.
- Founder/Co-Founder of an early-stage NGO committed to growing the organization for social change.
- Indian citizen above 18 years of age.
- NGO should have a strong focus on measurable social impact.
